New Restaurant Reviews

We located two new restaurants that we really enjoyed. The first one is called Le Creperie. It is a fantastic French Restaurant located at 4589 N University DrLauderhill, FL 33351. http://www.lacreperieinternational.com/
It is family owned and operated. The husband is their chef and his wife his the hostess. My husband and I took our friends there one Thursday evening. On Thursdays they have an amazing 5-course dinner. From the moment you walk in it is a very friendly atmosphere. You are greeted and seated right away. We had reservations but my husband asked if we could be seated at another table and they changed our table for us.

I had never tried escargot before and it was on the menu so I was going to try that for sure. I found out that I LOVE escargot! We had our choice of Escargot Maison, Moules Farcies, Pate du Chef Lulu or Soup du Jour ou Soupe de Poisson. Our next course was a salad course. Choice of Garden Salad or Caesar Salad. I chose the Caesar Salad it was very good. Next came the main course. We had a choice of Trout Bretonne, Pepper Steak, Duck with Berry Sauce, Chicken Francaise or Seafood au Gratin. I ordered the Duck with Berry Sauce and it was amazing! I haven't had duck since I prepared it myself back in Indiana.Next they brought out a fruit and cheese plate that was equally good. We all had either red or white wine and it was also very nice. McWilliams Shiraz or Chardonnay.

We dined at our leisure. The wait staff was very attentive to our needs. You didn't feel rushed for time while dining there, which I really enjoyed. Most restaurants bring you your bill before you have even finished your meal, I've had that happen before.

Then our last course was dessert. My husband and I had a choice duo of chocolate Mousse and Cream Brulee. I had never tried Cream Brulee before either. It was so rich and wonderful! I would have to give the service, restaurant and their food a 5 star rating for sure. It was some of the best food I have tasted in South Florida.

The second restaurant review is a great German restaurant called Old Heidelberg.
It's at 900 W. State Road 84/Marina Mile Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315 http://www.heidelbergfl.com
We just went there the other night with dear friends from our church. I ordered a dark lager beer that was so delicious! I had their pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes, red cabbage and a side order of fresh spatzle. Great German decor and live German music was playing. If you want a taste of unique German food this would be the place to go.

Enjoy original German Cuisine. Old Heidelberg offers a distinct selection of appetizers, soups and entrees to satisfy every taste, including Daily Specials and seasonal dishes. They offer wines to accommodate every meal. And don't forget to check out there selection of mouth-watering desserts!

Our New Love

We have a new love in our lives!
It's been a while since I've updated my blog. In mid October we adopted a sweet and loving kitty named Sophia. She was a little rescue from C.A.T.S. Rescue in Miami. She had been dumped and living outside among feral cats in their colony. It was a rough two months at first. She was in hiding most of that time. But she has really come out of her shell and has blossomed. My husband and I are very blessed and we both are in love with her. She is a Siamese and part "monkey" mix I think. Laughing~

She loves to play with her toys all day if you play with her. She also loves to go outside on our back patio enclosure. She is very, very vocal and verbal with us, as most Siamese are. She can get very loud when she wants to play and needs attention.

Sophia has healed our broken hearts. We had waited for three years after our sweet Himalayan kitty passed to adopt another fur-baby into our lives. Our home is no longer empty any longer.

My husband and I are so happy to have found a church
and Pastors which we love!

Come join us some Sunday morning at the West Pines Community Church, in Pembroke Pines, Florida. You can even watch them live if you miss the Sunday service.

The people there are very kind and friendly, they offer a great youth ministry, we have an outstanding live band, community groups which are wonderful during the week. They have a great women's ministry, a men's weekly ministry and a wonderful environment for your children to come and learn about the love of Jesus.

We are holding an outside Baptism, March 16th, after both services. I can't wait. I'm going to be one of many to be baptized.

My Donations

DONATIONS
I firmly believe in giving back whenever possible. And I've been trying to do just that when I can. Below are two really great places to donate if your interested.

I've been knitting a few Chemo Caps. As soon as I get enough of them made I want to donate them to Sue W. Thompson at Head Huggers. You can donate adult hat for Chemo patients and tiny premie hats to her other charity called Miracles Happen.
